Week six of the FanDuel Fantasy Football season will be here before we know it. The NFL TV ratings might be down but my numbers from Phil’s Fantasy Sports are sky high. Must be because folks like you are winning money……besides the players I mentioned earlier this week here is what I have for week six of the FanDuel Fantasy Football season.
Each of these options are for the main slate at FanDuel for week six.
The Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson ($8400) has a very solid matchup against an Atlanta Falcons defense allowing QB’s to average 23.10 Fantasy points a game and they have allowed two 40 yard plays and 14 touchdowns via the air. The Seahawks have an implied total of 26 points and are an early week six point home favorite. Wilson is averaging just 15.6 FanDuel points a game this season and that might keep people off him
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady ($9000) had a sensational debut to his season last week and has a very good matchup at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. This season the Bengals have allowed QB’s to average 18.45 Fantasy points a game including five plays of over 40 yards. Brady is averaging 29.6 FanDuel points a game, the Patriots are an early week nine point home favorite with an implied total of 27.8 points. Brady is expensive and that high price might scare off some people this week.
Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor ($7800) has a solid matchup at home against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have allowed QB’s to average 19.78 Fantasy points a game, five passing plays of over 40 yards and ten touchdown passes this season. Taylor is averaging 16.1 FanDuel points a game this season and Buffalo has an implied total of 25.8 points this week. The Bills are also an early week eight point home favorite with a 44 point over under. The price is right for Taylor this week.
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger ($8700) has an interesting matchup this week on the road against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins defense has allowed QB’s to average 20.25 Fantasy points with three passing plays of 40 plus yards and eight touchdowns. Roethlisberger is averaging 23.1 FanDuel points a game this season, the Steelers have an implied total of 27.8 points and the Steelers are currently a 7.5 point favorite with the over under set at 47.5 points. If I had to choose right now I would probably go with Roethlisberger and pair him with Antonio Brown ($9700) this week.
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota ($7600) has a good matchup at home this week against the Cleveland Browns. This season the Browns have allowed QB’s to average 20.45 Fantasy points a game including three plays of over 40 yards and 13 passing touchdowns. On the other side of this coin Mariota is averaging just 16.3 FanDuel points a game with seven passing TD’s and one on the ground. The Titans have the fourth highest implied total on the slate (26) and are an early week seven point favorite. If you can handle the stress of using Mariota this week it might be well worth your time!
Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (8200) is off to a fine season averaging 17.5 FanDuel points a game. This week the Bills are home to face a San Francisco 49er defense allowing RB’s to average 25.08 Fantasy points, 146 rushing yards and five TD’s this season. The Bills have an implied total of 25.8 and are also an eight point home favorite. McCoy might be highly owned this weekend but he has a tremendous opportunity for a big game on Sunday.
Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick ($6600) has had two games where he recorded FanDuel scores exceeding 20 points. He’s also had three games where he was held to less than ten FanDuel points. He has an opportunity to score big when the Lions entertain the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday. The Rams are allowing RB’s to average 18.92 Fantasy points, 122 yards a game as well as five TD’s on the season. The over under is set at 43 points with the Lions an early 3.5 point favorite. The Rams are much better against the pass and I like Riddick in this game.
There isn’t much else we can say that hasn’t already been said about Pittsburgh Steelers RB LeVeon Bell ($9300). The Steelers have the highest implied total on the slate this week (27.8) and the Miami Dolphins are the worst defense against the rush in the NFL; they are allowing RB’s to average 150.8 yards a game and have allowed three TD’s this season. Pittsburgh is a huge 7.5 road favorite and if you can make that high price work Bell might have a field day against the Dolphins on Sunday.
Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray ($6000) missed last week’s game with turf toe but is supposedly playing this Sunday at home against the Kansas City Chiefs. Murray has underwhelmed this season averaging just 11.6 FanDuel points a game but he has a chance to redeem himself against a Chiefs defense allowing 129.5 yards a game and three TD’s this season. If for some reason Murray is unavailable you can pivot to his backup DeAndre Washington ($5500) because this home matchup is just too cheap to miss out on.
Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Matthews ($6600) has a solid matchup against a Washington Redskins defense allowing RB’s to average 23.74 Fantasy points and 130 yards a game plus a whopping eight touchdowns this season. On the other hand Matthews is averaging 10.8 FanDuel points with two rushing TD’s and another receiving TD. The Eagles are a slight early week 2.5 point favorite with a 44 point over under. I really like the price and the matchup this week.
Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley ($5900) has a solid matchup this week against a Green Bay Packers secondary allowing the WR1 to rack up 132.5 yards per game. For the season Beasley is averaging 10.7 FanDuel points, 6.5 targets and has scored one TD this season. The Packers are an early week four point home favorite and if Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is forced to throw a bunch more than likely the main target will be Beasley.
New Orleans Saints WR Brandin Cooks ($7500) has a great home matchup against a Carolina Panthers secondary that has allowed WR1 to torch them for 104 yards a game. For the season Cooks is averaging 12.1 FanDuel points and eight targets a game with two touchdowns on the season. Vegas didn’t set an over under on this game but the Saints are an early three point underdog. There is nothing better than Drew Brees coming from behind at home and I think Cooks will have plenty of opportunities this week.
Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin ($6900) has a terrific opportunity this week against an Oakland Raiders secondary allowing WR1 to average 97.6 yards a game. This season Maclin is averaging ten FanDuel points and nearly ten targets a game with one TD. This game has a relatively high over under of 47 points with the Raiders being an early week one point home favorite. The Raider secondary has coughed up 12 TD’s and over 330 yards receiving this season so if anyone goes off on Sunday it should be Maclin.
Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal ($6300) has a nice opportunity Sunday against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense allowing WR2 to average 64.6 yards a game. Royal is averaging 11.8 FanDuel points and roughly five targets per game with two TD’s this season. There is a sizeable 47 point over under with the Bears being a slight two point home favorite. This is a tremendous opportunity and I think Royal is going to go overlooked this week. Let’s hope he goes off!!
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown ($9700) is the most expensive player on the slate and he has another opportunity to go big Sunday on the road against a Miami Dolphins secondary allowing WR1 to average 98.9 yards a game. This season Brown is averaging 18.1 FanDuel points and eight targets a game plus five TD’s this season. Pittsburgh is a huge 7.5 point road favorite with a decent looking over under of 47.5 points. With all the value on the slate this week you should be able to easily fit in Brown and just about whoever else you want on your roster.
Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce ($6400) has a solid matchup with an Oakland Raiders defense allowing TE’s to average 73 yards a game. Kelce himself is averaging 11.3 FanDuel points, roughly 8 targets a game and has scored two TD’s this season. There is a healthy over under of 47 points with the Raiders being an early one point favorite. I like the possibilities and the price for Kelce this weekend.
Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker ($6700) has the best matchup in terms of defenses allowing TE’s to run roughshod when the Titans host the Cleveland Browns this Sunday. The Browns have allowed TE’s to average 96.5 yards a game this season. That is awful my friend. Walker is averaging 10.6 FanDuel points, nearly seven targets a game and has scored two TD’s this season. There is a low 43 point over under with the Titans an early week seven point favorite and I like Walker very much this Sunday.
Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers ($5100) hasn’t had the greatest of seasons. He’s averaging just 3.8 FanDuel points and four targets a game this season. He has found the end zone once and he could add to that total this week against a Dallas Cowboys defense allowing TE’s to average 81.1 yards a game. It’s not as bad as the Browns but it’s still pretty bad. There is a 47 point over under with the Packers as an early week 4.5 point home favorite. If you want to save salary this week Rodgers might just be your man.
Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham ($6900) is a bit pricey but his matchup against an Atlanta Falcons defense allowing TE’s to average 73 yards a game might be worth the price. Graham is averaging 9.6 FanDuel points on 22 targets with one TD this season. Seattle is an early week six point favorite and the 45.5 point over under could mean a grind it out keep the clock running second half. That bodes well for Graham this week.
Dallas Cowboys TE Jason Witten ($5600) has a great price and a tremendous matchup against the Packers this Sunday. The Packers defense has allowed TE’s to average 72.4 yards a game this season. Witten is averaging seven FanDuel points and 34 targets this season and has of yet to find his way into the end zone. There is a 47 point over under with the Packers as an early week 4.5 point home favorite. Like with Rodgers if you want to save salary this week Witten might be your man.
Good luck this week at FanDuel!!
