Top FanDuel Fantasy Basketball Plays for Tuesday October 25, 2016

The FanDuel Fantasy Basketball season officially begins on Tuesday October 25, 2016. I say officially because gamblers at FanDuel have been throwing their money into preseason games for the past ten days or so. Each and every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday I will be sharing with you five plays that I like at FanDuel.

There is only three games on the slate for Tuesday and here we go……

New York Knicks SF Carmelo Anthony ($8000) is one of the best players in the NBA. He knows how to score and rebound. Last season he averaged 37.7 FanDuel points a game. This season the Knicks should be a much better team and maybe Anthony will become even more of a facilitator as his career high 4.6 assists last season suggests. Anthony and the Knicks take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in Cleveland. No matter who the Cavs choose to guard Anthony he’ll get his that’s for sure.

San Antonio Spurs SF Kawhi Leonard ($7900) is the leader of the Spurs and has a good matchup against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. Last season Leonard averaged 37.4 Fantasy points a game. Leonard knows how to stuff a stat sheet and is good for points, steals, rebounds, assists and probably will knock down a couple of triples on Tuesday night. The Warriors will be a heavy home favorite but you can play Leonard with confidence.

Power Forwards and Centers usually kill the Portland Trail Blazers frontcourt and on Tuesday Portland hosts the Utah Jazz. That puts C Rudy Gobert ($6200) squarely in play. Last season Gobert averaged 28 FanDuel points a game and this preseason he averaged 14 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 24 minutes of action. Gobert should see 30 minutes and is a lock for me on Tuesday.

Cleveland Cavaliers PG Kyrie Irving ($7100) is priced ridiculously low for his game against the Knicks. Last season he averaged 30.7 FanDuel points a game with 19.9 points and nearly five assists. Irving should run roughshod over Knicks guards Brandon Jennings and Derrick Rose and I see no reason why Irving doesn’t make five times value on Tuesday night at home against the Knicks.

Golden State SG Klay Thompson ($6500) is priced too low against a Spurs defense minus defensive stopper Danny Green. Thompson averaged 18 points a game this preseason so the presence of Kevin Durant hasn’t affected his scoring one bit. He’ll also be good for 2-3 assists and rebound and maybe a steal or two as well.

Good luck at FanDuel!!
