Drew Brees(7,200) Brees is the ageless fantasy wizard that has been filling up stat sheets for over a decade now. He is on pace for over 5,000 passing yards and 40 TD’s in 2016.Those are just amazing numbers for his age and the amount of talent he has around him. He enters week 9 facing the S.F. 49ers and there last ranked defense giving up 31.3 points per game. Vegas has this pegged as the second highest scoring game of the week, so expect big numbers from Brees and company. There is not much more of a sure thing in fantasy then Drew Brees, and with a cupcake matchup he is worth the high salary.
Andrew Luck(6,700) With the low salary of only 6,700,Luck is a very interesting play in week 9.He faces the Green Bay Packers who were torched by the Atlanta Falcons for over 30 points last week. The Colts are going to have to keep up with Green Bay who seems to be hitting its peak on offense. In Vegas the over under is 54 and is by far the highest in the NFL week 9.That is a ton of points in this league so expect big numbers from both teams. Luck throws the ball 39 times a game and they will have to lean on him even more because of the tough run defense of Green Bay. Also with the return of WR Moncrief the offense will be more explosive and productive.
Josh McCown(5,400) Browns will have to throw a ton and Dallas down two DB’s.
Trevor Siemian(5,100) Two elite WR’s facing a bad Oakland defense.
Ezekiel Elliott(7,900) This is the perfect storm of a fantasy match up if I have ever seen one. Elliot is leading the league in rushing and is facing the second worst rush defense in the league the Cleveland Browns.”EAZY E” (which I have trademarked calling him) is on pace for 1,600 rushing yards and 10 TD’s and the Browns on the other hand give up 143 rush yards a game. Dallas has the best o-line in the game by far and the Browns defense is full of rookies. Also in the past weeks Elliott has become more productive in the pass game, with over 100 yards the last three weeks. Even with the highest salary of any RB Elliot still has some upside with the dream matchup.
Devonta Freeman(6,700) The Atlanta Falcons and Devonta Freeman will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a tricky Thursday night game. The injury to Tevin Coleman has made Freeman a full-fledged number one. As of Tuesday I doubt Coleman will play Thursday, opening the flood gates for fantasy production. Tampa defense is going to be exhausted from playing almost an extra quarter in overtime on Sunday. They already give up 115 yards per game on the ground and have just all around struggled. Enter Freeman and a huge workload, that will lead to lots of production. In PPR settings he is a clear cut top 4 back every week and it just so happens that DRAFT KINGS is PPR.
Darren Sproles(3,900) He is now the number one back in “philly” and a PPR monster.
Antoine Smith(3,000) Looks to be in line for a big work load because of injuries.
Brandon Cooks(7,500) Cooks has the pure ability to single handily win you a fantasy matchup on any given Sunday. He faces a terrible team that gives up 31 points per game and has an elite QB playing like he is 25 again. The speedy WR is averaging 8 targets a game and that is all he needs on pace for over 1,200 yards and 10 TD’s. Consistency has been an issue with Cooks in the past, but this year he has scored double digits in five of seven games. Throw in a couple of 30 and 40 point outings and I am surprised Cooks has been talked more about in 2016.
Terrelle Pryor(6,100) This might be a hard pill for some people to swallow but “TP” is a number one fantasy WR in 2016.They play the Dallas Cowboys who are down there top cornerback and safety. The Browns will almost certainly be trailing and have to resort to throwing the ball on almost every down. McCown had a sneaky 300 yard plus game last week and chucked the ball to Pryor 13 times. He finished the game with 6 receptions for over 100 yards and was a TD away from a monster. I am predicting he will get one maybe even two verse the depleted Cowboys secondary.
Tyrell Williams(5,000) Great play as long as there not playing the Broncos.
Kenny Britt(4,400) Insert the number 1 WR facing the Carolina D every week folks.
Delanie Walker(4,600) The Tennessee Titans offense has been improving this season and a big reason is the athletic TE Walker is the still the focal point of the pass offense and faces weak SD pass defense. He also seems to be hitting his stride with over 150 receiving yards and 1 TD the past two weeks. Should be a high scoring game with an over under of 49 and I fully expect Delanie right in the middle of all that scoring. Off a long week off and finally fully healthy watch for Walker to rise up the TE ranks every week.
Gary Barnidge(3,9000 The Browns have been running through QB’s left and right this season and now welcome back veteran Josh McCown. He targets Gary Barnidge more than anyone and last season the TE averaged over 5 catches and 80 yards per game when McCown started.Barnidge added 6 TD’s in those 8 starts and is McCown’s favorite red zone target. Coming into last week he had only one red zone target in 2016.That will change and the Browns will throw the ball a ton while there more than likely trailing the Cowboys. Dallas is down two starting DB’s and Barnidge is a lock for fantasy production in week 9 Draft Kings.
Cameron Brate(3,300) The TE has filled in nicely and is a red zone threat.
Julius Thomas(3,200) Low salary for a TE that seems to catch a TD every week.
