Eric’s Picks 7/11-12
English Premier League
Tottenham(9) vs Arsenal(8) Sunday 7/12 11:30 am
It doesn’t get bigger for Tottenham or Arsenal than a North London derby! Potentially a place in the Europa League is at stake.
Tottenham coming off a disappointing goalless draw vs Bournemouth will be looking to rebound and recover points lost in that match. Their form since returning to play has been less than compelling. They are sitting just 3 points from a Europa League spot.
The Gunners whose form of late has been better than that of the Spurs. Arsenal seemingly had the win vs Leicester earlier in the week until the red card was issued to Arsenal’s forward Edward Nketiah. With Arsenal playing down a man Leicester was able to equalize and steal 2 points from Arsenal.
Spurs will be without Eric Dier due to suspension. Dele Alli could however return to the squad.
Arsenal will be without forward Nketiah, Ozil, Chambers, and others due to injury.
Tottenham have drawn with Arsenal 10 of their last 19 matches.
Eric’s prediction here is the draw and under 2.5 goals
Osasuna(11) vs Celta de Vigo(16) Saturday 7/11 11:00 am
Osasuna is stuck in the middle of the table while Celta is fighting to avoid relegation.
The last 6 H2H matches 3 draws 2 wins for Celta and a single victory for Osasuna.
Osasuna’s last 6 league matches 3 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses.
Celta last 6 league matches 2 wins, 3 draws 1 loss.
27 total draws this season between the two teams. 39% of all matches have ended in a draw!
Eric taking the draw here!
Espanyol(20) vs Eibar(15) Sunday 7/12 8:00 am
Espanyol’s survival hopes ended with their defeat in Barcelona and will compete in Segunda Division next season. Espanyol has nothing more than pride to play for Sunday vs Eibar. Eibar is 4 points clear of bottom 3 and will happily accept any points earned in this match.
Espanyol will be without Pol Lozano who was sent off against Barcelona while Arbilla and Ramis are sidelined for Eibar.
Not a whole lot at stake here!
Eric’s picks the draw and under 2.5 goals to be scored!
