Zak began watching hockey at the age of three. Over the years his love for the sport grew. Zak started playing hockey at age five and at age seven, had Theron Fleury teach him how to skate backward. With his ability to skate backward, he took his tiny frames between the pipes and became a goalie. At a full-grown height of five foot six, his six foot two playing styles never got him to the big league, however, it did give him the ability to view the game from a different angle and watch plays develop. At age six, Zak was helping my dad pick Sport select. His first ticket went 5 of six and would have won had it not been for a box-checking error from Dad. Zak has since won a few himself to make up for this. Zak got his start in the handicapping world as part of the Cash with Flash 30 day challenge and has been fine-tuning his craft since. He is very excited to bring his picks to you with the Phil Naessens Show.
